Join us on Sunday, August 11, at 2pm, for a unique performance by the Guelph Symphony Orchestra, part of a week-long series of 45-minute concerts presented in imaginative, unexpected, and less formal settings throughout the city. The event at the Art Gallery of Guelph will feature an art-inspired program, including a performance of Dinuk Wijeratne’s The Disappearance of Lisa Gherardini that tells the story of the real-life theft of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa from the Louvre Museum in 1911.

In response to the Richard Bedwash exhibit currently on display at the AGG, the program will also include a selection by composer Andrew Balfour, who is of Cree decent, and like Bedwash, was removed from his culture during the Sixties Scoop.
