The Guelph Symphony Youth Orchestra
The Guelph Symphony Youth Orchestra is open to young musicians under the age of 28. Admission is by audition. Rehearsals are held on campus, at the University of Guelph on Fridays from 4:30- 6:15pm, in room 203 of the McKinnon Building. In addition to rehearsing challenging orchestral repertoire, musicians will receive regular coaching and mentoring from the professional musicians of the Guelph Symphony Orchestra.
GSYO musicians will present two public concerts, perform side-by-side with the GSO and perform in various outreach concerts as opportunities arise.

What level do I have to have reached to be eligible to audition for the orchestra?
Applicants are accepted into the orchestra based on their performance in their audition.
The excerpts reflect the skill level required to participate.
Is there a fee to audition? No
What is tuition to be in the orchestra? Tuition fees are $150 for term 1 and $150 for term 2.
