Classical music for toddlers
Park Eatery Kinderconcerts bring the symphony to life through interactive performances for children ages 5 and under. Members of Guelph Symphony Orchestra share stories and works by great composers, introducing children to timeless fairy tales, classical music, and the experience of live performance. Kinderconcerts are an enriching, hands-on experience with audience participation highly encouraged!
The stories are narrated by award-winning artist and cultural leader Kween.

The Nutcracker

This enchanting classic tells the tale of a young Clara’s journey as she confronts the Mouse King and embarks on an adventure with her Nutcracker Prince to the Land of Sweets. Originating in 1816, this timeless tale inspired Tchaikovsky’s ballet in 1892. Let this magical score carry you away into a world of wonder!
The Barber of Seville

Figaro, Seville's legendary hairdresser, is more than just a wizard with scissors—he's a fountain of wisdom! When the Count becomes infatuated with the enigmatic Rosina, he knows just the person to turn to for assistance. Figaro will put on his cunning hat and devise a clever plan to outwit Rosina’s sly guardian, Dr. Bart!
Set to melodies from Rossini's opera, Barber of Seville, our score is sprinkled with soaring arias by his talented wife, Isabella Colbran!


The Lizard and the Ant

In the heart of the African Savannah, Lenny the lizard lounged lazily, scoffing at his neighbour, Amara the ant. "Look at that busybody!" Lenny chuckled from his hammock. "Every day she tackles a new project”. She needs to chill out like me!" But when the storm began to roar, Lenny quickly dashed to Amara's doorstep, hoping she would welcome him inside.
